More good roll hunt finds

I searched a box of pennies today, and had the strangest search. The first roll yeilded a 1937, right out of the gate.

The next 20 rolls did not yeils even one wheat. I did get a BU or near BU 1967.

Just when I was ready to give up, I hit the jackpot. The second half of the box yeilded 2 1919 (one is so bad I'm not saving it, as it grades PR1 or at best FR2), a VF 1920D, 1926, another 1937, 1940, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1949D, 2 1950D, 1951, 1952D, 1955D, 1956, 1956D, 1958, and a 1958D as well as a 1963, 1962, and 1940 Canadian, and a 1981 Bermuda cent, along with a BU or near BU 1966 and 1968S.

A very nice turn around indeed.

It's not metal detecting but it's a fun way to find coins.

It will add to your finds if you check for modern varieties, I find a lot more value of modern varieties in roll searching than the wheat cents but they're fun to find too.

loaded up on the wheats! Who knows, maybe that 1919 should be sent to PCGS and given a lowball grade. Someone might pay big bucks for it?

I took a second look at the lowball 1919. It was not worn, but was encased is some "gunky" substance.

A little gojo and a toothpick, and it looks like nothing ever happened to it. The coin grades a fine. Boy was it caked up !!!

A couple of more Lincoln roll hunts, well a few.

A month ago I pulled the most coins from one box ever, 51 coins with 38 of them being wheats. The balance were 1960's high grade red Lincolns and about ten pre 1965 Canadians.

A few weeks ago, andother good hunt: 23 wheats and four pre 65 Canadians with one of them being an AU 1952 King George.

Today's hunt, not so good, but not awful. I pulled only ten wheats with four pre 65 Canadian.

WTG! I haven't made any circulation finds in a while. And haven't searched rolls in probably close to two years. I usually do nickels. Got a pretty decent Buffalo the last time around.
