If you're selling hockey then for sure not Probstein as he does not ship to Canada. Even for anything else I don't see why you would hold yourself to just shipping within the USA when you have the choice to go with someone else that ships internationally.

I've consigned to both. I would say PWCC, but aren't Probstein's rates, especially for under $100 cards, better than PWCC? PWCC doesn't mess with these, except at a high rate, does he?

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

    Wiseguy, eh?!? Hi Matt. image

    I'd choose Brent and PWCC.

Have not used either but intend to use OPC soon. I will say, as a California buyer, I've found the sales tax I pay thru PWCC to be cost prohibitive.

    For whatever that's worth.

    Good Luck

I tend to stay away from PWCC. Sales tax is a big negative here in California.

They each play to a slightly different niche. Th way I see it Brent seems to do better with the high-end, bug $ items while Rick (who also does solidly at the upper end) tends to do better at the low and mid range items.

Is split between both along those kind if lines if it were me.

Can't go wrong with either. Both will get the eyeballs on your cards.

PWCC's write ups are more detailed and more accurate (he doesn't describe every card as "centered").

I don't see any diamond earrings in pwcc's listings. can't wait til probstein lists a gently used 1996 dewalt cordless drill (no battery included).

i'm sorry i meant topaz. (with box though)

I have only consigned with Probstein. I have zero complaints about my dealings with him. I have bought from PWCC and have been satisfied with my purchases. To me, it would come down to the fee structures that fit the cards you are trying to sell. I know that Probstein has an extra charge for cards that do not reach a $10 bid (in case you are breaking a set or partial set like I did). I have no idea what the fee structures are at PWCC.

Well, for what it's worth, I heard a while back that PWCC was supposed to move to Oregon late this year. I've consigned w/ PWCC in the past and always thought that they were very professional.

That would be great, as I am not too far from the Oregon border. I'll take PWCC.

I sent him a PM many days ago and got no reply. I sent an email to him at his gmail address and got a very quick reply. I too was looking to do a consignment.

    Good luck!

I sold a T3 thru Rick when I got an upgrade to the card.

The payment was lightening fast! Good service.

I would choose pwcc but for the simple fact that they moved offices to lake Oswego, oregon which is like 30 mins from me. Have nothing against probstein, just a convenience thing really.
  • the address in his profile still the best way to reach him?

I got it from his Ebay about me page, or contact page....whatever they call it now.

  • Have consigned with PWCC twice and the experience was absolutely outstanding both times.

If you want to get rid of low dollar items and/or need fast payment of proceeds, then probstein.

If you have high dollar items that deserve a thoughtful write-up but don't mind waiting almost a month for your proceeds, then PWCC.

They are two of the best consignors on FleaBay. One difference is that Rick ends his auctions all at once.

From my experience, Rick pays and lists much quicker, whereas PWCC has a more professional presentation of the item.

    Thanks,

If you are interested in considering fixed price instead of auction, you can try calling Tom about consignment too.
