Lending a set to PSA - any reason not to?

A friend of mine was asked to loan a set for display at the Long Beach Expo. It seems like fun and PSA insures everything. Anyone ever do this?

I have not but I would be happy to do so. No cost to me and it might get others interested in collecting. If I had a full-time card business I might ask for a placard that says "from [ ] collection" or similar for advertising purposes, but that's the extent of it. I want to help grow the hobby.

I once loaned a small part of my collection to a local museum for 2 months. No problems. I too had hoped to spark interest in card collecting.

I think with PSA and in the case of most museums it is probably a safe bet. However, things can go wrong in certain
circumstances such as when they shuttered the Mickey Mantle restaurant a couple of years ago. I'm sure this article
was mentioned on this forum back then but it a good reminder of what can happen if you lend your things out.
