If I were a 1975 mini guy, this would be a nice one to get in on. There has to be enough guys on here to sell out that case or is everyone still shell shocked by all the unopened BBCE listed today.

Great job leading the charge. image

    I like this stuff.

However, from watching rips of mini's over the years?

The centering is all over the place.

edit: however, if buying for future appreciation? That would be a whole different thing IMO.

I can't afford a box but would be in for some packs if a box or two was packed out.

If we can get another 6-7 guys on board for boxes, we could sell another couple boxes by the pack. Don't know if this changes anyone's mind.
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,742 ✭✭✭✭✭
I'd love a full box but probably can't swing it financially right now--I'd be open to buying a few packs also, though, if a couple boxes are broken down that way.

I'm not up for a box at this time but would be interested in packs if boxes are broken.
  • I would be interested in one box

I'd be in it for some packs.

    Thanks,

I may be up for a box.

I saw a thread with a picture of an upcoming group rip. I am more of a football
guy so I would be more interested in that if it comes about. Any info ?

We have gained quite a bit of interest. Please let me know the quantity of packs you would be interested in for the two boxes set aside for individual pack purchases. No limit.

Also, can the people that have expressed interest in boxes finalize their box count and confirm 100% in/out?

I will free up the two boxes saved for future rips if we get a few more guys after boxes.

    << <i>Questions:
Is Steve aware you requested a group break?
Does out the door = avoid 5% wrapping fee?
Does out the door = no insured shipping fee? >>

DJR, thanks for the questions. Just texted Steve again. He double confirmed the following.

    Steve is definitely aware.
    No 5%
    No shipping fee
All wrapped with "From a sealed case"
    Paypal goes straight to BBCE

  • Gentlemen,

I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I'll take a box. This will be my largest single purchase.
  • KurtisJosephKurtisJoseph Posts: 214 ✭✭✭
    All,

    List is updated thru lahmejoon.

Remaining guys that have not 100% confirmed your box(s), please do so.

We are basically done. So if you want to go from 2 to 1, this would be a good chance.

Still 30 packs available for the box break.

Wow, can't believe we nailed this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be in for 6 packs from one of the boxes being broken

  • MeferMefer Posts: 1,162 ✭✭✭
I would be in for three packs on the broken down box.

EDITED TO ADD-- I am 100 percent confirmed in for three packs assuming it is the 3k per box price point (or if my math is right, would be $83.33 per pack).

    All,

List is updated thru rvc taking shu4040's box.

Need Bounce to 100% confirm 1 or 2 boxes

    Need Yanksfan1976 to 100% confirm 1 box

Need ajezove to 100% confirm 1 or 2 boxes

Need crazylegs to confirm 100% 1 box

We still have 21 loose packs. I think there still may be 1-2 boxes left after this all shakes out if anyone wants on waiting list. I have one person on standby list.
  • In addition to my box, I will take an additional 12-packs on the break... 100% confirmed... image

<< <i>I wonder if Grote could comment on this post he made in Miniduff's 75 thread from a year ago..............

David, those mini boxes were really nice. Pulled a lot of mint cards from those packs. Therein lies the big question with minis, too--there are cases with certain batch numbers that were beautifully centered and then there were others with piles of OC and MC cardboard. With 75 minis, maybe more than any other set, it's feast or famine..

Am I misreading it, or is Grote stating that there is a way to have an educated guess at what type of cards are inside a case.

    thanks >>

I believe you need to start busting them to get a taste of what will shake out of the case condition wise

On that note, please put me down for 2 packs image

Short answer is yes~when the Conlon estate liquidated Charlie's collection of 75 mini cases through REA, it became apparent that there were certain batch numbers that were yielding runs of centered mint cards within the packs inside the case and that there were others that were yielding generally OC cards throughout the case. I don't recall now which batch numbers were which, but I believe Jim (miniduff) or Henry (mintmoondog) would. The batch number is located on outside of the case. On this one, it's 212351.

You are #1 on waiting list. I'm waiting on three guys to confirm 100%. Hoping to hear back soon. If anyone knows the unconfirmed guys and can reach out to them, I'd appreciate it. thx!

    All,

There are 6 loose packs left.

Waiting on confirmation from 3 gentlemen.

70sToppsFanatic gets 1st box if one of these 3 withdraw or go from 2 to 1 box.

Tim's comment from the old thread was addressed to me. The batch number in this case
is not one that has historically yielded well centered cards.

I collect sealed boxes and batch numbers are meaningless for my purpose...

This case was originally mine from the Conlon sale. It is one that I sold years ago and has now resurfaced. The buyer did quite well. You can see the box in lot 906, lower right in the picture. 212351 doesn't generally center well, but there have been some monster hits as well. Henry cracked a 212351 and hit several Aaron 9s and was disappointed he didn't 10 for example.

I just read that Steve won't wrap individual packs. If there is a second pack available for me I would appreciate adding it. 2 total. Thank you for doing this.

    yeah, yeah, i know image

we'll see…i like this set a lot, and obviously so do a lot of other people

based on that i feel like i can't really get hurt too bad, and since it was an all in cost i felt like it was actually a pretty good price

Looks like there's a few packs left?

If so - I'll take the rest.

My favorite mini - got it for a 30 buck trade - sub'ed to PSA.

By the way, can we now put to bed the silly previous thread about how a mini case has never sold for as much as 40k? Thought so...

Wasn't it last year this time we were all lampooning a 39K box? I guess I need to make some changes to the box I include in my 'artwork'. It is no longer satirical.

I'll take 4 loose packs if they're still available.
