Seems this aspect of the hobby is pretty much ignored here. Understandable given this is a CU board, but I was wondering if there are others on this forum that also collect sports memorabilia. I put about half of my collecting budget into game used memorabilia and the other half into cards (primarily unopened). How do you allocate your collecting budget?
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

ETA: and magazines.
I've posted on memorabilia on a regular basis.
The "love" is up and down.
I just picked up a board game I've been waiting for 10 years. Guess it's time.
Thanx.
<< <i>Boston Americans, where did you acquire Phil Esposito's autograph? I have an item that I would like him to sign. >>
He made an appearance at a show back in May in Marlboro MA. It was basically an autograph show with some dealer tables. I was also able to catch him outside a Lightning game the night they honored him during their 20th anniversary. I would just keep an eye out for major shows. You may also want to get on this company's mailing list: New England Picture (my apologies mods for any rule breaking). They do a lot of Bruins's stuff and they recently handled the pennant I sent in for Gerry Cheevers (I'll post some pix of the pennant soon).
I have seen some success via the SCN site but it takes many many days.
Hope this helps.

<< <i>Alifax, I'm sure I'm an idiot, but I don't know what I'm looking at in the 2nd and 3rd photos. Whose red gloves? And whose hockey stick? >>
The red gloves are Chris Cooley and the stick is Brooks Laich.
