Spent Thursday and Friday at the show. Was great to see Mike (CpaMike), Eric, Dustin, Jim (Vintagefun), Kirk, Tyler, Paul, Nathan, Scott, Chiefsfan (sorry, forgot your first name), Scott (ssolars), Mike (mkenz). I hope I didn't forget anyone but I know I have.
So I get to Steve's booth first and Mikey was there buying all the choice product . Was looking at the packs one just called out to me (didn't help with Mike whispering in my ear to "buy it, buy it"
I guess I am going to be putting a "Rose on back" cello collection together. That now gives me a 67, 70 and 73 along with a 75 rack......LOL. Also picked up a bunch of 80-84 BB and FB wax and racks. Not going to rip. Just wanted to have in my collection.
Also picked up nine T206's for my collection:

Is that '67 cello encased in anything? It's not in a PSA holder, right? So is Steve wrapping individual cellos and wax packs separate and apart from PSA?
Doug
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Nice centering on your 206s >>
I was thinking the same thing. Great job on the cards!

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Not just all those super T206s but the cello also.
Couldn't help but notice the "Ultra Pro" was made in CHINA.
That Rose pack was an inspiration in me getting my Drysdale pack.
Great talking with you.
All the best
Jim

It was awesome meeting you too. Actually, my favorite part of the whole experience was meeting guys from here
(and for the record, I decided against that $7 beer at the show... but afterwards )
That is a serious nice haul man!!! Now, the important question is, did we leave Steve with enough stuff to get a
group rip going
Doug - Steve is authenticating the older wax/cello, putting them in a case and shrink-wrapping. I was thinking about sending to PSA but am not sure I will. The value is in getting Steve to authenticate more than PSA grading in my opinion. Plus, PSA is charging stupid prices to grade now. One of the guys (don't remember who) was telling me that they are charging $100 to grade 59 FB cellos.
Stone - Yeah, I saw that "made in China" after I scanned......LOL.
Jim - Glad you got the Drysdale cello. That is a great one to have for a Dodgers fan especially.
I was really happy on the centering on the T206's. I went through a ton to find those.
I am working with Steve on a group break in a week or so. I will update in a separate thread when I get the details worked out.

Very nice pickups!! Those 206's, like others have said have great eye appeal.
So from your original list, did you stick to your plan??
I hope to make it to Chicago next year for my first national!!
<< <i>haha its all good I am the same way I forgot some names already myself.. >>
It is pretty hard to forget my name though.
Mark, you can thank me next year for talking you into getting that beautiful 1967 Topps cello with Rose on back. Great job getting those T206's. Willie Keeler is a nice one for sure. Always a pleasure to see you. Hopefully we'll be able to spend more time together next year.
