As a collector, this weekend was perfect! It started off after work on Friday with a big package from BBCE. Inside were a hoard of packs I sent to Steve to wrap for me. He was more than accommodating:
There were a few packs that Steve did not wrap because of loose seals, which I promptly opened. I pulled this gem:
After opening the BBCE box on Friday I drove up to Cooperstown for the weekend. I go up every year to try for autographs, I was able to get a few
A few single signed baseballs:
I was also able to add Ripken to my bat
I also added Tom Glavine, Billy Williams and Ozzie Smith to the bat (Ozzie signed upside down):
I now have 18 signatures on this bat, so I bought a new white bat to get started again. The bat was $70 and came with a free voucher to get Fergie Jenkins autograph:
I also have 5 or 6 multi-signed baseballs that I have been adding to over the years. I added Rollie Fingers and Carlton Fisk to this one:
I added Fergie Jenkins and Rollie Fingers to this one (and Phil Niekro too):
I added Fisk to this one:
I ended Saturday with the following Autograph count (all free unless amount specified):
Ozzie Smith: 1 on bat, 1 on single signed OMLB
Tom Glavine: 1 on bat, 1 on single signed OMLB
Cal Ripken Jr.: 1 on bat, 1 on single signed OMLB

Carlton Fisk: 2 on multi-signed balls ($20 each)
Billy Williams: 1 on bat
Phil Neikro: 1 on bat, 1 on multi-signed ball
Rollie Fingers: 2 on multi-signed balls
Total: 16
Finally I ended Saturday with a live auction at the Cooperstown VFW. I won a few lots:
1972 Topps football lot w/ Staubach and a couple high numbers ($10)
1958 Mickey Mantle Holiday Inn Premium Photo ($27.50)
I also won a PSA 6 Diamond Star common and a Hank Aaron signed restaurant bill.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
You may want to edit your first pic with your name and addie in it. Hate to bring it up but you can't be too careful.
I have a couple of questions. Does Steve wrap / authenticate boxes and packs for a fee? I have some I might like to get authenticated / wrapped. Also, is the 1981 hockey box the east coast box or the west coast box with the better rookies? Is there a way to tell which box is which? I have four boxes, two east and two west that I marked when I got them in 1981, but I was wondering if there was a way to tell which is which from looking at the box.
Thanks,
Robert
