Not my coin, but was browsing Coin Facts and came across this compelling coin picture. What is your opinion regarding the reverse toning?

    I'm neutral, honestly. The coin overall doesn't do that much for me, but then very few 20c pieces ever have.

    Going by the photos, which always a limiting factor, because photos don't always match reality, image I have a couple of Twenty Cent Pieces in my collection that like better. The coin is okay, and it is NT so far as a re-toned piece can be called okay, but it is not outstanding IMO.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Reverse probably looks better in hand, i.e. not as dramatic.

    The reverse looks like it is over lit. Perhaps the coin has PL qualities and it made it tough to get proper balance.

    Nice coin and +1 Tom it looks a bit blown out and is messing with my eyes.

    Eventually I will get one of these for my certified type set, but whenever I look, all I can find are expensive (when compared to the cost of similar aged dimes and quarters) 1875 S examples. Inevitably, when I do find a nice example with a different date or mint mark, the coin is always prohibitively expensive.

    LMAO!!!! She definitely did! That type of color does nothing for me as it can easily be recreated. Splotchy blue, purple, and gold like this coin exhibits is something I personally avoid. Just my .02

    Nice coin but the toning is unusual in some respects.
