Never seen or heard of one of these before. PSA obviously didn't look at the card and
was a mistake to holder it. Anyways anyone have any of these or heard of them before?

is silverless too. I wish I knew if there was more because a Frank Thomas would be huge!

Is it graded by PSA? If so, I was wondering if they recognized it as a variation on the flip.

<< <i>How can that get graded without some type of annotation?? >>
This kind of thing happens quite often I would assume. I would guess that the grader is focusing on corner wear, surface issues etc. and it would be easy to miss the obvious if you aren't looking for it.
I sent in a card with a different players stats on the back and it came back TWICE graded as the player on the front, even though I noted the "error" on the submission.
In the end PSA refused to grade my card as a "wrongback".
I enjoy these unusual cards as well...........................cool.

I forgot to ask if these were for sale?

Nah, keepers for me
I was in a shop and a kid asked what it was.
Can't remember what was said. I saw them as misprints rather than error/variations. Now? I don't know.

My mistake Jack. I had never heard of these variations before you mentioned them. When I searched for them, I was just looking for the "Leaf" to be silver less. I didn't look at your scans closely enough, and didn't realize that the bottom left hand corner was affected as well. All of the ones I thought were missing silver, looked to have white lettering for the word "Leaf", but all have the striping on the bottom left, so obviously they're not what you're looking for. I'll keep an eye out for them, and if I see a truly silverless Mattingly come up for sale, I'll shoot you a PM. Sorry about the confusion.
