Ask an opinion from a casual acquaintance on a coin you are thinking of purchasing.

Post a new thread every week advertising your auctions instead of bumping the same thread ... sorry GC, I couldn't resist

Bury your stolen gold hoard in a can in the backyard and forget to retrieve them and/or leave a treasure map for your kin folk before you croak ...

Not sure how some of these pertain to the title....."Things not to do on the BST".........

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Post a bunch of problem coins that are not in PCGS slabs, expecting to sell them easily.

Trash a seller's good name before a full due process is exhaused and extended patience practiced.

Commenting negatively about a coin for sale. ( Unless it is a obvious fake being sold as geniune.)

Price your generic gold type coins at 10-20% over market and wonder why no one responds.

My favorite...buy a coin off the BST and immediately put it back on the BST for a higher price before you even receive the con. Have one person in mind on this one.

Is it ok to try to find out if a Ebay seller is a member here? Interested in a coin offered by saharacoins, there's a number listed maybe I should just call. Would rather deal outside Ebay, maybe save money for the both of us.

I'm unsure, actually, but I can tell you my personal experience and you draw your own conclusion:

    - I have seen Forum members advertise their eBay stores on our BST and say "10% discount to Forum members" or "free shipping for Forum members"

    - I have sent eBay message to sellers who I know for a fact are Forum members, after I bid and won their coin(s), mentioning the Forum, and they have ignored or denied it. Apparently they don't want the connection made. Perhaps because their personal contact info is on the eBay transaction but their Forum persona is "private"
