Does anyone know where to get them online?

I hate when my slabs get scratched up!

In the craft section at Wal-Mart you can buy 100 3"x4" sealable (Ziploc style) plastic bags for a few dollars. I use them when shipping coins out and they fit slabs (and a business card) very well. May be an option if you can't find sleeves. Or you could cut off the top of these bags and they would become a sleeve.

i'm not a fan for promoting the use of any more plastic than necessary but i do have several thousand of the sleeves illini refers to and been using them for years. 3 sizes.

I think I know exactly what you're talking about. They are a foam pouch with a flap that velcro's shut. There used to be someone that sold them with
a U.S. Flag design on them but that was 8 or 10 years ago. Sorry I can't help but if I run across any I will PM you.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

I am looking for a slightly larger baseball card sleeve, because the one I got was too tight on the slab.

    How many do you need?

I use Ultra-Pro "Extra Thick Card Sleeves". They're not too tight and do the job well. Could be something better out there, can't say.

We have two threads on slab sleeves? Good grief! LOL

Oh, more than that. I have been "pushing' the sleeve idea here for at least 5 years image

Treat your slabs more gently and save your money as card sleeves actually scratch the holders leaving micro directional friction lines that you instantly spot when trying to photograph.

Intercept Shield is making a new style of zip lock sleeve that is great for higher value coins as they are about 50c each. Slabs wearing the sleeves can still fit in the blue boxes. Got a graded silver Eagle in one the other.

These are sold on ebay and ended up cost about a buck each. eBay link
Edited on 7/17/14 as I just bought some. Had to protect that Silver Eagle with a funny back I got.

I use these and have been very happy with them. The fit is snug and perfect for PCGS and NGC coins.

The last batch I bought were a little cloudy...not as clear as previous ones. But still great for scratch protection.

I have a couple packages of "Armored Brand USA" slab protectors. Got them from Wizard for less than $1 for a pack of 100. They're rather tight, but keep the slabs from scuffing each other in double row boxes.

Not sure if "card sleeve" is what I am talking about - soft non-pvc postcard sleeves. I have been using them for years and years for very valuable prints and things and have never noticed any micro-scratches. I should point out I am not taking them in and out all day either and everything is stored carefully - no sliding. Obviously coins are harder, but are they not often submitted in Mylar flips? The sleeves I am talking about are like poly coin sleeves.

these are what i am referring to: if you have high-end coins, i recommend them.

none of my coins are worthy of such extravagant accommodations. lol

3X4 4 mill (double the thickness of a regular ziplock) ziplock bags. Perfect size for a slabbed coin.

    $13.53 per thousand bags

For shipping slabbed coins I use the 4x5.5 bubble bag. Slab slide in sideways and roll excess around coin and seal with self sticking end.

    Uline slab bubble bag

I mentioned in another thread, the liquid applied to plastic surfaces that forms a scratch free surface....used on plastic eyeglass lenses for years... Cheers, RickO

Although not a sleeve, per se, Ultra Pro Team Bags (Stock #81130) work well. They are large enough to accommodate most current slabs.

For larger slabs, Ultra Pro Graded Card Sleeves (Stock #81307) work just fine.

Both have resealable strips and cost a few cents each. eBay is the cheapest source and always has a bunch listed

    This works perfectly ^
I usually cut off the zip lock end to make sleeves so it's easier to get the slab in and out.

I get my 3x4 zip locks bags from:
