Ragged clips

I am familiar with the straight, curved clips, but does anyone have any info. on the ragged clip type? Scarcer or more common than the aforementioned types. I have a few buried somewhere within my collection from years back, and these recents posts about clips jogged my memory. Thanks.

Think about how planchets are punched out of the sheet and you should able to place them in order of more common curved, less common straight, least common ragged.
the scarcest of the three types. (there are other types).
The beginning, or end of a strip was usually unfinished,
so if the punch came down at very start of it, or at the
very end, the 'clip' (incomplete planchet) would be this
Ragged End clip type.....sometimes called End of Strip clip.
Nowadays, most of the strips come into the Mint already
finished, so ragged end clips are much more difficult to
find on modern coins in the past 15-20 years or so.
Hope this helps a bit......
