Heraeus is a respected german refiner and Sharps-Pixley was a bullion trading company out of London...both collectible in my opinion...I own a one oz sharps-pixley,would own more if I ever found another

The Liberty Trade rounds could be marked on the back by JM or Engelhard, if they are then they sell for a nice premium. The JM has the logo in a small rectangle, the Engelhard has a small square with an "E" in it.

Edit: The Engelhard being the better of the two.

The Sharps Pixley also comes in 2 and 3 oz size, same dimensions only thicker. They sell for a serious premium. I saw a 3ozer go for $217 about 2 weeks ago. Picked some up a couple years back at the LCS, glad I did.
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.

The Liberty Trade has the Statue of Liberty on the back. No markings though. (thanks)

Agree. The demand for so called collectable bars is rather thin. Good luck getting more than melt from your local coin dealer. About the only venue where you can get a significant premium for silver bars is eBay with all the associated risks and expenses.

But I just sold those nicer ones for $24 Liberty, her, univerasara, some midrange unique for $23, and 8 generic bars for $22 each and they want more.

Think I'll sell my liberty trade dollar coins for $26. Just like this one:

Outside of numismatics in a coin shop, I've discovered a pervasive attitude with regards to silver. It's only worth what the market pays. Not that this is pervasive, but it's really a matter of who is buying that makes it worth anymore than a dollar or two over spot. It's not like anyone is going to "do better" with bars or bells, but some do and some "MAKE" it worth more.

That's just my opinion, but it sure seems to ring true when I am dealing with other dealers. Mine ain't worth spot and theirs is worth $3 over.

Yeah, agree. When I'm on the selling side, they are worth a fortune. I wouldn't pay extra unless it was a specific piece I wanted.
Its tricky selling, so alot I let go for spot to spot+1. For instance, I have two liberty trade coins. The E one sold on ebay recently for $33 + shipping.
I have one with the E and one with the JM (both stamped MTB). Either way I'll ask more and reference the ebay sold one.
