If these were stolen between June and December 2013, some of these coins were stolen quickly. Hope you get the coins back and find the perp!

The story doesn't make much sense (at least to me)!
1) How did the owner know they were stolen between June and December of 2013?
Yes, this could be private information which the owner doesn't want to share, but then again that's a pretty big time gap, not to mention the addition 6 months of 2014 which have elapsed; therefore we are looking at up to a 1-year timeline. Did the owner not look at these coins for up to 1 year? This, to me, presumes that these coins were not in an SDB.
2) How can the owner suggest that there were multiple robberies? 4 coins at once (first, second, fifth and sixth coins listed), then another coin, and finally another coin?
Did the owner notice coins missing, and then not report them missing/stolen? Of course we've probably all mislocated a coin or two; sometimes they show-up, sometimes they don't.
Was this the case here, and the owner finally decided to report the theft several months later? I can only speculate.
This is just an odd numismatic theft report.
<< <i>1) How did the owner know they were stolen between June and December of 2013? >>
According to PCGS.com, the last three coins were last sold between July and November 2013, so the dates could be the dates of acquisition.
<< <i>Thank you. I was just told about it over the weekend and still trying to get information.

If they were stolen between June and December, and some sold between June and December, at 2 large auction houses, it should be relatively easy to track this down. Something seems strange here.

I think the owner bought these at the auctions noted.
