A.N.A. used to pro-rate a lifetime member application price based on past dues paid as a regular member, but even so it was only practical on an actuarial basis. Probably not even considered any more simply by reason of all the legal costs the organization has incurred in the last 10 years.

Do you think someone fishing for a $2 off ANA membership is going to spring for a life membership at ANY price? You've got to be joking!
Actually, back in 1997 I was springing for a lifetime membership. I wanted to find a reduced rate but found out that the rate was going up so I took the deal on the table. $600 for a lifetime membership.
It will take 25 plus years to win this deal versus paying year by year. So that takes me to at least 2022 before I save money.
I did the same thing with my AARP membership. Lifetime membership costs $60.
Most of the management crew at PCGS now qualifies!
The best bet is not to join. And that include AARP. I feel that ANA and most other groups have become virtually useless and any derived benefits non-existent. Cheers, RickO
