Awash in silver, more than I've seen there in 4-5 years, prolly more than all those years combined...

So the stories of a few years ago about it being scarce are not true?

I've heard gold is strong at the show.

Rawteam1, enjoy the show. If not for a tyrannical boss I would be in Baltimore buying up some PM's.

I'll be there Saturday morning before most of the dealers flee the show around noon. Did you see many of the older/collectable bars? Were the prices mostly realistic?

    Thanks OGIM,
I'll try to get some info today, what I do remember was 90% at 16.5x,
Some overpriced old pours range $28-35 per oz, alot of eagles, generics 1,10 & 100 oz
    Prices range $22-$25

Alot of gold also, just remember overpriced 1/10 gold eagles at $149,150...

Hopefully some of the prices of the heavier silver bars will be more realistic by Saturday morning when I get there. Most dealers hate to haul those heavy bars back to the coin shop.

I've seen APMEX at the Baltimore coin show with a giant safe behind their table but it seems they never have anything for sale. Can I assume they are only there to buy inventory for their mail order business?

Buying is all about 6 AMPEX employees were doing at the ANA in Atlanta.

I assume you meant APMEX. Has anyone see any of the other major bullion dealers at these larger shows?

    Over Priced?!? Really?

    Dealer cost from the majors is $147 +/- ........ 50 at a time! ( $7340)

    WOW ........ Making a whole $ 2-3...... So you can buy'm 1ze 2zes at a time.

Oh ... and what does it cost to "do" a show?

BOY ........ What a bunch of rip-off artist!! image

( And folks wonder why there are fewer & fewer B&Ms )

Although APMEX was not on the dealer list for Baltimore for June, they usually skip the summer one...Provident Metals has been a regular and is listed for the June Baltimore showing.

By buying 10th ouncers instead of 1 ouncers, you are overpaying by more than $100 per ounce [based on current JMB prices]. I understand why someone would want 10ths, but one certainly pays up for the convenience.

OK well hidden. Someone will find them. Tenths aren't for me, but sometimes ya gotta be a motivated seller instead of trying for top dollar.
