Why did the Panini thread get pulled?

I'm sure there are dozens of potentially plausible and fun reasons.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>As a modern FB collector, I was interested to find out if there truly is a problem with Contenders autos. I'm sure Panini made more than 25 - for QC reasons at least - but the numbers being estimated made me wonder. >>
Agreed, and I don't think a rational thread on the topic would get pulled.

Yes, the OP on those threads was a little fragile.
I don't think that could be characterized as libelous

Noted.
Hello XXXXXX,
Unfortunately, there was a mistake by PSA. There is only 25 cards printed, some of the (non-white jersey variations) graded by PSA may have been labeled with the same as the white jersey variation.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
If you have any more questions feel free to contact PSA Customer Service at (800)-325-1121
Thank You,

I do my best to not be critical of PSA when commenting on threads but one area I think that could use some improvement is this.
If you speak with PSA I think you should ask them since this card is the one that is the most desired, have any collectors sent back cards to get them corrected and if so have they been removed from the population report?
<< <i>I am just gonna post something here so it doesn't seem like you are talking to yourself..... >>
LOL I was typing my response while he was firing off more.
<< <i>PSA really does need to go in and correct the population report but not sure if they really can or not since I was told that cards go back and forth, from BGS to PSA back to BGS and every time that card is dealt with they add another +1 into the population report! >>
Crack outs make the population totals very tough on some cards but if the lesser colors are being sent in and labeled wrong that is where a mistake was made. Otherwise there is little they can do.
Do a search for completed listings and see what you find on the labels of the other examples.
Blue Jersey
White Jersey
Wish I remember what year/cards they were...

Ridiculous!

Time is money.
Not to mention fighting a winning case with limited facts is impossible and the cost of discovery would be very high.
It wouldn't matter if you didn't allocate any costs for your labor because it would still be expensive.
You have $3,000 at risk or a little more. Your costs would eclipse this by a factor of 5 or more is my bet. Bad investment to try and sue for you.

Obviously not an English professor or typing instructor...
<< <i>So since yesterday I have calmed down here a bit, but have to say that when I was first given the link to the blowout cards story I thought I was going to throw my computer! >>
Understatement of this century.

<< <i>Ok, how much for that clown card? Hahaaaa >>
Bad news. There were more than 25 made.
<< <i>So at this point I am taking PSA's word for it and am still awaiting the response from Panini, once I get that I will also post their reply. Just glad I only bought three of the white jersey cards and not more! Who knows if RW can win another super bowl this year the card can only go up in value. Until I can actually see 25 different scans of these cards there is no way to stay if there is more than 25 printed. I have learned a lesson from all of this, that is I am only buying vintage cards from now on, or limited cards that have a number printed on them to prevent stuff like this from happening! >>
You probably don't want to hear this, but it will be impossible for anyone to ever prove that the print run was limited to 25 cards.

That's a clown card, bro.
