Since it was my thread that is causing a stir, thought I'd chime in to say I'm really not offended.

I'm approaching 10 years on these boards and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that we all collect different things, have different passions, and have different budgets to support those passions. I've also reached an age where I realize no matter how great or impressive a collection grows, you can't take it with you when you go, so enjoy life, enjoy your passions, and enjoy what you collect, no matter the cost.

For those that enjoyed the blasters/"had my back", I appreciate the kind words and support. For those that didn't, perhaps my next post will. Either way, now I'll post probably post more updates to my blaster collection just to annoy you all! image

Have a great weekend, and Happy Early Father's Day to all you dads out there!!

<< <i>And the number 1 sign you are a newbie...
You try to post a pic in your thread and all you see is a text!

    Dah-da-da-dah-daaaahhhh.... >>

Ouch. That hits close to home. I am far from a newbie, but I cannot post pictures.

<< <i>You think the value of unopened boxes has something to do with the cards inside. >>

It has a lot to do with what's inside.

You believe that Beckett pricing is accurate!

You believe that you're 1987 Topps hand-collated set is worth $40.00!

You insist that a PSA 9 OC is worth the same as an unqualified PSA 9!

You believe that every auction that you lose was shill bid!

You believe that every auction that you win was shill bid!

You believe that every card you sell sells for less than everyone else because everyone else shill bids!

You believe that holding onto rookie cards when they've peaked is a sound investment for the future!

That you have no idea how to tell the difference between a refractor and a base card no matter how hard someone tries to explain
  • you don't know the difference between topps and milton bradley and bump your own threads for extra attention.

I can't think right now what LC would stand for, so I guess my 36 years of collecting cards classifies me as a newbie!

<< <i>You never went to a LC. (You don't even know what LC stands for.) >>

I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.
  • you become a member on the PSA forums to ask a question and are immediately attacked by a few jerks....

You make the mistake I made -- - I assumed an PSA 9 (OC) was valued in between an 8 and a 9. Boy, did I think I was so smart for a few days. Inexperience cost me some cash and I now have a lot of 9 OC cards.

    lol.
