Thank again men - yes many heading west on the July special.

The RCs look good, even on big scans - some will get weeded out here - lots of corner touches i can see here, but some of the toughies look ok.

Got some poppage today - from the 1975 set pictured, another 75 set that I mentioned (nice Rose) and another 1977 set I picked up (meh).

Quite happy overall, although I was hoping for a 9 on the Brett and at least a couple of 10's on the 75 commons. That said, very nice for a raw ebay set.

The 73 Riddleberger is kind of a toughie.

Mike I would have thought you would hit some PSA 10's on the 1973 Topps set. That was a gorgeous set according to your scans. You have a great eye for these cards. Keep the scans coming and thanks for sharing.

I can say from experience that PSA is tough on 75 Topps right now.

Still, some winners in the mix, Mike!

Congrats on the grades. I was hoping you would hit more 9s on the 75s. Great results regardless.

    Thanks, men.

I am happy - just wish I didn't send in the 1975 commons, which seemed at least as nice as the 1973 commons...

Ah well, on to the next set - more 73 & 77 coming. Now I have to get around to selling some of these....

Awesome cards and great find. You said these all came from a raw purchase on Ebay? You have a great knack for these cards.

WTG Mike ... I too thought you might have pulled a few better grades on the 75s. But like Tim stated, PSA is quite tough on that year.

Tough grade on the Brett and only thing I can see from the scan is bottom right corner - pretty tough call there and I would. At least review it.

OK - sometimes you are the windshield, and sometimes you are the bug.... today, I am the bug.

Bought what looked like a virgin 1973 topps set, but I think somebody plucked out the top 10 key cards and replaced with o/c or problem cards. Still not a full blown disaster, but will be tough to come out ahead on this one. Schmidt was only creased/dog-eared card in the set... I knew many of the keys were o/c, but lots of cards looked sharp in the pictures .

Here are the decent ones -- not sure what is up with the Ryan... not regular snow anyway (Reggie has a little too):

OK, here is the '77 set highlights too - a few more HOFers look like maybe 8's, these were the best of the crop though (at least the Red Sox were nice...):

Sorry about your latest pickup. Hopefully you spot some low pop commons to come through for you.

Some 75's from PWCC's latest auction - not spectacular, but some heading in to PSA... I probably overpaid a little. Some nice green/yellows besides these, but little else.

    Nice cards Mike!

Is the Brett warped a bit in the CS1's?

    The left border looks funny...

It is a funny left border, Tom - quite a few in the set had the funky cut. Gets a little wider towards the bottom, I am afraid.

    Hope it will grade...

I haven't had much luck on ebay lately... all I have bought in the last 8 weeks was a pretty nice 1983 topps set.

Finally found another set that looked like it had potential, this 1976 topps set, and bid strong... the price was pretty high with the PSA Brett & Ryan included. I do like the Brett.

Anyway, I pulled over 100 cards on my first pass through as potentially gradable. Here are some of the bigger names - sorry about the curl image :

100 potential gradables is insane. Even if you whittle it down to 50-60 that's a monster set.

Nice job and 76 is my childhood set - first year of little league and my Reds repeat as WS champs. I can remember watching This Week in Baseball at 1pm followed by the NBC game of the week with Curt Gowdy and Joe Garagiola - always was the Reds versus the Dodgers, Phillies, or Pirates. If you have any you don't grade or decide to part with please let me know - same for 73-75 Topps. Like being 8 again!

Where's the PD on that Ryan card, Mike? Those 76s are beautiful!

Thanks men - it is an interesting set. Some clunkers in here too, but every fourth or fifth card looks like it rolled off the press this morning - just a matter of centering.

I think the PD on the Ryan is a little stray ink (in the form of super tiny dots) on the white jersey above the "N" in Nolan, and a little more by the "GEL" in Angels.

Here are a few more that are moving through my screening process. Trying to be hypercritical on the commons as there is not much ROI there...

Definitely some winners in there, Mike~I think this is better than ripping unopened for submitting higher grade cards (at least 90% of the time, LOL!)..

Nothing too exciting today - a couple of cheaper sets from ebay. I had modest expectations - glad to see a few nice ones here, but no showstoppers.

Still waiting for grades from the Fritsch sets I bought (the thread seemed to have been poofed though image )

Anyway... hoping some toughies do ok for me once submitted. Sorry for the dust.
