This is a United States Mint that NEVER produced a single coin. It is in The Dalles, Oregon and part of the building still stands today, but is pretty much forgotten about even by coin collectors since it never punched one out. Fascinating piece of history, especially for us coin people!

This happened ... about eight years ago now? Can't remember. They caught the guy. I had no insurance. He traded all the coins for meth. Long gone.
