New User Here! Hello everyone...

I used to collect cards when I was in my early to mid-late teens, sold everything to a dealer to buy a car back in the early 1990's when I was 18, went to work for the dealer (lol), married into the family and after 20-years I am buying my cards (or youth) back they are telling me.

Great bunch of guys here. Looking forward to your future posts. Is there anything specific you like to collect?

Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

  • Gentleman,

Thank you for the receptive welcome. Much appreciated. I collect (as my main focus) all keys RC's in PSA 10 from 1975-1989 in all 4-sports. When a card goes WELL over 10K, I opt for the PSA 9, but I buy several of them as I have 4-kids. I bid 11K (it's OK to laugh) on PWCC's PSA 10 Montana and it appears that is not enough. That appears to be a card that I will never get. Recently I started buying PSA/BGS auto cards like Kobe, Peyton and other guys like that. One of my favorite cards that I have is a POP 1 Tom Brady 2002 Ring of Honor auto. Amazing card...
  • Cool. For hockey, are you doing OPC only or Topps mixed in as well?

Welcome! Sounds like a great collection. There are several members here around your age (like me), and most of us have similar collecting interests, so there's plenty of people to share stories with. Oh, and several are also in SoCal, if your avatar is any indication.
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.
  • Thank you for the warm welcome Woodbury! Appreciated...

My avatar basically gives it away. That is my 2002 Angels World Series ring on my finger in my avatar. Cards have always been a passion of mine. Collecting has been expensive, a lot or work, but very rewarding...

    Welcome, Anthony.

Lot of us have the same basic story to tell... in and out of the hobby at least once. I think this is my 4th time back!

I look forward to seeing some pictures of your collection/additions.
