OK, I know it's darkside, but it seems most error enthusiasts are in this forum. And besides, Canada is almost U.S., right? So I hope you won't get too mad at me.

The latest and greatest addition to my collection in a long while: a 1978 Canadian nickel coin overstruck by an Israeli 10 Agorot coin.

The Royal Canadian Mint was striking coins for Israel that year and has minted over 100 million 10 Agorot coins. This one just happened to be minted on an already struck Canadian nickel.

Traces of the underlying design show well, especially on the reverse where you can see the beaver's tail, part of the log it's sitting on, two Canadian maple leaves, the legend "5 Cents" and part of "Canada", and the date of 1978. On the obverse, the legend "Elizabeth" and the denticles all around belong to the Canadian coin, plus a few other faint traces. The Israeli coin is also dated with the Hebrew date 5738, which corresponds to 1978 AD.
