The first was the 1796 over 5, which was the first overdate coin in the U.S. series. This is worst example that has been graded by NGC as a VG-8. This coin is actually a little remarkable because usually heavily circulated examples of these coins are much worse.
Here is a 1796 "LIBERTY." This coin causes some confusion because the "6" in the date was recut, which causes some confusion with the overdate variety. PCGS graded this one EF-45.
And here is a 1796 "LIKERTY" half dime. This is not really a separate variety but a die state of the previous coin. I have my doubts that it is even a clearly marked die state. Although there are lots of clash marks (and more to come later), the "LIBERTY" is not any difference from the previous coin. To clarify the 1800 "LIBEKTY" is a die variety that was made from a broken "R" letter punch. The 1796 coin is not really a separate variety. NGC graded this one AU-58, and CAC liked it.

1807 25¢ PC06 CAC. It's funny but in the lower grades, anything above G04 seems a little difficult to find for 1807's right now (for those of us on a budget anyway).
