The maker of this example (Ex: Henry Hilgard) H. Sage is listed in Brunk as S-88 where it states :" This silversmith worked around 1840 but his location has not been verified. Known for an 1806 half dollar". The Overton # is O-101 R-1.

On the silverware examples I checked, his maker's mark had a wavy border and did not have the period between H and S (his watch paper had the period, though).
