eBay Seller to Totally Avoid: irishshz

RichRRichR Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭✭✭
Originally committed to sell HOF gold coins to many buyers at approx. $700/each after initial sell out.

After nearly 2 months, he voided all completed sales and then sold the coins at higher prices. And offered no communication or explanation at all.

Avoid irishshz like the plague.

Can you leave a neg.? If so, I would in all categories. Time to teach those pre sellers who do not produce, a lesson.

Looks like you weren't the only one.

10 negs....all for Baseball coins. Guess a few bucks is worth all the negs to this seller.

WOW he sold 31 coins. I'm guessing the # of negs will climb.

No offense to the OP, but how dumb were these buyers to wait 2 months with no delivery?

will be a long, long time before he ever enjoys top rated seller fee discounts.

With his published ship date of July 21, he should have been reported a long time ago for violating ebay's maximum 30 day pre-sale policy. Enough of those reports may have kept him from selling anything further on ebay.

I'm not up to date on the prices for these but what is the CURRENT value of the items he promised to sell at $700.

    Just curious....

<<No offense to the OP, but how dumb were these buyers to wait 2 months with no delivery?>>

For me, he originally promised delivery in May and then pushed it back to June...claiming the Mint was delayed. And that was it until the sudden Paypal refund yesterday.

On the day I purchased, the $700 was right in line with the current market; so there was no unrealistic bargain. But obviously he didn't want to deliver the goods now that they're worth $400/$500 more per coin.

And he had a 100% rating...over many years...right up until he pulled this stunt. So you never know.

Do you know for sure he resold them? The mint still has lots of orders to be shipped in July, so he might be telling the truth.....that's the risk you take when you pre-sell.

I'm not sure raw coins could be sold for $1100-1200 at the moment. I think the market is closer to $900 (thats the current Heritage buy price)

So he voided 31 sales without saying a word? Who says we wouldn't have waited for delivery? I know I would have.

Not good for your eBay reputation.

Agree it's not good at all, but who knows. My 200 golds are not scheduled to ship until mid-July, but I was certainly smart enough to not pre-sell them on E-Bay.

No communication is not good either. I'm not defending the seller, but offering a very plausible story. If he sold you out, he did not do it on e-bay unless I missed something.
