So, who else is thinking "stolen coins from Mom and Dad's collection dumped in the coinstar machine"? I'd like to see the stuff that went through.

OhOhOh can I be snotty also the coin is silver and has a standing lady on it and a bird on the back
Here is a link to some pics and info: http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/5772

Do not clean it only give a light bath in acetone and a very good rinse and keep your fingers off the face of the coin afterwards you could get 5-10.00 for it to the right person.

Nice. Back in my younger days while metal detecting, I would have done back flips to find this. Your way is much easier.

Where can I get my hands on Acetone? I thought cleaning was a No No - isn't that a form of cleaning?

Soaking in acetone merely removes organic deposits, no effect on the metal. Nice find....Cheers, RickO

That's outstanding! Any coinstar find is cool. Any silver coinstar find is really cool. But an obsolete and large silver coinstar find is about as good as it gets.
