brg5658brg5658 Posts: 2,399 ✭✭✭✭✭
I received another batch of Talers (17 this time) from board member Zohar last week. Yet again, it was a real joy to see them up close and try my hand at imaging them.

I've posted them in chronological order by date below. Happy viewing! Zohar has some amazing eye candy!

brg - you have talent my friend! The patina that you captured on the Salzburg pieces speak to me the most. Granted, the subject material is out of this world, but your photography and use of subtle shadows in the layout with the tags is exceptional.

Brandon is a class act - Passionate about the hobby, pleasant natured and professional. This "project" took a lot of effort and goodwill which I am very grateful for.

    Thank you.

That ms64 1682 thaler is off the charts, and my favorite, followed very closely by the ms63pl 1754 taler, both are simply superb!
Truly some great coins, each wonderful in their own right.

    Great Pictures Too!!!

These were exactly my thoughts, and the same two coins are the ones that caught my eye the most.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

The scarcest pieces here are actually the lower grades... 1677 SHS Breslau Taler and the very tough 1745 Salzburg.

Zohar is just mailing Talers to people now??? When was anyone going to let me know? I will take a Hogmouth and a taler of your choice, Zohar. Thanks.

Great photos. Whenever I graduate from iphone pics, I hope to have the ability to take photos as nice and coins worthy of the effort like you.

Where to start??? The coins are simply amazing!! It is like being at the Habsburg family
museum, you are in the coin room and personally looking at their collection/treasures!!
My favorite is the 1677 Hoggie.
To brg : You have captured each coin perfectly.
    To Z : Please keep sharing !!!!!

Some amazing pictures of some amazing coins. I'm really impressed, given the challenges of photographing coins through the plastic.

Thanks all. Some of these coins were forgotten in the SDB and with BRG's imaging I could see much more in them then prior. I can't capture anything at this level which limits what I can share. NGC's imaging along with BRGs have been updated t my website.

  • phenomenal imaging, imo when you see a coin no matter what it is and the picture makes you want to own it (especially if it's something you aren't already into in) well I think that's a job well done
