I like it, but it's pricey @ $50/oz

Wow, that makes the Gairsoppa bars look cheap, and they have at least some actual claim to being historic.

Nice looking bar but overpriced for a modern bar. Pass.

Not for me...even for a D Carr production.

  • D Carr makes some very nice pieces but some of the prices are a bit high! I know his items have a good resale ability but dam 50 and ounce for silver that's under 20.00 right now! Makes pamp bars look cheap!

Or you could get this for $225...
    CG .1oz gold @ $2250/ounce
...which is also overpriced. Dang DC, I know you gotta make a buck...

Dan does outstanding work, a great artist!
I really want one of the 2014 gold pieces but can't seem to pull the trigger due to price.
The silver bars are outstanding, but, as with others, too rich for my blood.
The fact I am not buying guarantees they all will go up in price significantly in the future!

The antique finish is a turn-off, should of left it natural satin.

D Carr's latest bars "Clark Gruber" type are very expensive.

For that matter the Gold n Gems Prospector rounds are too high as well.

Not expecting to buy around spot - but $26-$28 oz would be realistic - $35 oz waaaayyyy to high.

I saw the antique finish at the Denver show, and liked it. To each his own.

I think the coin collectors here have been conditioned to dislike anything that's AT. If Dan used a sulfur compound to antique the bar it can probably dipped off without too much trouble.
