There hasn't been much Trade Dollar action recently on these boards, so I figured I'd post a few cool chopmarked coins I've cherrypicked in the past few months.

I love that top 1875-S. Did you do these translations yourself? If so, that is mighty cool and a great education/talent to have for this niche. Heck, you may get requests to do similar things from many members.

Funnily enough I actually can't read any Chinese myself despite speaking it relatively well. I've up and forgotten how to read it, so I often just have friends or family members who are fluent take a look.

I agree, and an added bonus is that they are often overlooked for varieties. Both S/CC's were bought for under $90

Great coins.... I really like Chop Marked Trade Dollars... and those translations are super. I have a PCGS Trade Dollar with many chop marks... too many to translate probably.... Thanks for the post, I do not recall any other post with the chops translated....Cheers, RickO

My Mandarine is weak, but I believe those chops loosely translate, "Here's the story, of a lovely lady. . ."
