Selling on Collectors Corner?

Has anyone looked into starting to sell on Collectors Corner through PSA (as described in their mass-market email sent out this afternoon)? I went through their startup guide to try to locate the fee schedule but for some reason I'm having trouble getting to the right page/link. Seems relatively new as there were only 3 card dealers registered when I first opened it up (a 4th registered while I was browsing). No listing fees. Any idea what the final value commission fees are? I think it will take a while before it gets the traffic that other sites have, but there could be some potential there for cross-listing items. Also, I noticed in the startup guide that item no. 7 says "...If your card does not sell in 30 days it will automatically delist. You can relist the card by changing the selling price." Like I said, I still haven't been able to find the "Terms and Fees" link; does anyone know if price reduction is mandatory in order to relist or just optional, and if so, if there are rules on what percentage or increment need be applied to the price reduction (i.e., can you drop it $0.01 when relisting or do you have to drop a fixed percentage instead)?
A reply with a direct link to the Terms and Fees page would be appreciated if possible, too.
Thanks!

Exactly. They reference having the fees laid out on some page within their system. Wonder if it is flat-rate, percentage, or what. Also, interesting how item 4 says the default fill for price is SMR whenever the item is in SMR; good thing they go on to say that you can increase or decrease the price from there though!
Selling fees for sales on Collectors Corner are the following:
$0.99-$50: 5% of the total amount of the net sale. Example: Net sale = $50, commission is $2.50
$50.01-$1,000: $2.50 for the first $50 + 4% of the remaining balance up to $1000. Example: Net sale = $1000, commission is $40.50
Over $1,000: $40 for the first $1000 + 2% of the remaining balance over $1000. Example: Net sale = $1500, commission is $50
Selling fees are automatically deducted from the net sale (sale less P&H and/or Sales Tax) upon payment to your PayPal account from the buyer.
Selling fees are non-refundable.
Then click on "My Inventory"
Then scroll down to bottom of page and you should see a "Collector's corner banner"
On the banner click on "Terms and fees"
Edited to add: I think if you raise or lower the selling price by as little as a cent you have met their requirement for changing the price before relisting.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. Don't know why, but I don't see the Collectors Corner banner at the bottom of my My Inventory page. Is there some sort of signup you need to do first in order for it to appear there?
Hmm, at the top where the "Show" line has the pull-down menu, all my items are filed under Active Inventory. Separate of that are the sub-categories under the Other Inventory category. If under those, I look at Inventory for Sale or Collectors Corner Inventory, there are not any items. Probably would need to figure out how to get active items listed under the other categories/sub-categories?

Of course. That's the first place I should have looked.

Under the Location column, you can change the item to For Sale or CC Sale, but what happens after that?

Next you set your selling preferences then you set your price, upload photos (if you want them) and then publish to Collector's corner. I tried it with one card and set a crazy high price (not looking to sell right now)
just to see what the process was like.
Edit to my OP: PSA must have been going through a brief web design update when I looked for the information. The Collectors Corner is now prominently displayed, with associated links, on the My Inventory page. It wasn't there when I looked before, but now that their site has been updated, I think I found the answers I'm looking for for now.
Thanks!

What's good about it is no listing fees, right when ebay says they've changed their rules about free listings for fixed-price. So if you want to go fixed price instead of auction, might be a good option. However, the Collectors Corner will of course only have a very small percentage of the viewing traffic as ebay for your listings.
<< <i>It was going thru some beta testing last week, the updates are really good and this looks like a superior alternative to ebay. >>
You were just the guy I was going to ask about this. Thanks, Anthony!

1950 Bowman 1 Mel Parnell PSA 1 (6097)
1950 Bowman 17 Sid Hudson PSA 5 (9468)
...etc.
Out of the 95 items that showed up, around nine were actually PSA 7's. It also needs to show a thumbnail of each card. The closer that CC can get to the functionality (and speed) of eBay, the more it will entice sellers to give it a try.

<< <i>Just went through the search on the CC auctions page. It needs to be MUCH faster, and someone needs to write a better search algorithm. For example, "1950 bowman psa 7" brought up every 1950 bowman psa card that had a "7" anywhere in the description (it should default the search to title), including:

Great Feedback. You are 100% correct. Most of your recommendations are already in the works. The rest will be looked into. The more information we get from the public, the better. Thank you.
I would want a way to EXCLUDE some sellers just like you can do on ebay. There is no way I would want to have to look through 707's thousands of listings that are double the going price. I am eager to try this since all my cards are already in inventory with pics.

How do you exclude sellers on eBay? I would love to block a few.
BTW, I am not seeing the banner to sell on Collectors Corner at the bottom of the My Inventory page. All I see is an animated banner for SCP auctions. But I now see the CC Sales in the drop down box whe moving cards.
Will you be able to search for items needed in your registry set?
Ex: If I am working on the Brett Favre Master set, it would be nice to view just the items available for sale that I am missing in my set.
Thanks in advance.
<< <i>Just to reiterate a bit. It would be huge if buyers could search for items missing, or higher graded cards for their set with 1 search. >>
And get email alerts when items we need in our registry become available on CC (i.e. alerts from PSA when eBay seller PWCC has items in my registry)
Also, will the auctions show up as available items in our registries like historically CC inventory has? That's probably the most useful feature and negates the fact there isn't as much traffic as eBay. It would result in a focused bidder pool that want the items we're selling.

This is very important. I don't need to see thousands of the same cards and the same prices that are on eBay. I would be happy to look through items sellers want to put on here instead of eBay.
I thought I’d jump in here and answer a few of your questions about the new selling feature on the PSA Set Registry.
1) The cards you sell must be added to your inventory in the Registry. If you have never used the Registry, it is a program where you can add and track your inventory and build sets which you can make public or keep private.
2) You are listing cards for a fixed price on Collectors Corner. This is not an auction. After 30 days if your card has not sold it will automatically delist. You can relist it by changing the price. There are no listing fees.
3) The Collectors Corner banner can be found when you filter your inventory to “My Collectors Corner Inventory.” (Use the drop down box at the top of your inventory page.)
4) Direct links for cards listed in CC will show up in the Registry in member’s sets where the card fills a hole or is an upgrade.
5) In My Preferences in the Registry, you can opt in to receive email about Collectors Corner items that will upgrade your sets.
6) Collectors Corner has an advanced search feature that also allows you to search by seller. I’ll let Corbin jump in here later to see if there is also a way to eliminate certain sellers in your search.
Here is a quick overview to get you started. If you have used the Registry before, you will be familiar with the Add Inventory and My Inventory features. For newbies, there are help boxes on every page in My Set Registry to guide your through.
Login to My Set Registry. In My Inventory simply select the inventory you wish to sell and move it to the new CC Sales location. To access your inventory for sale, click the drop down arrow on the filter box in My Inventory and select My Collectors Corner Inventory. Then, on the Collectors Corner banner click Selling Preferences, select your defaults for postage and returns, and enter your PayPal account email address. The Current Value column will default to the SMR price if available. You add or change a price by clicking on the Current Value box, typing in your selling price, and clicking the Save button. Don’t forget to add an image or two!
Once you are ready to upload your item, check it and then click the link for “Publish checked items to Collectors Corner.”
You pay a selling fee when your item sells. These details are listed under Terms and Fees on the Collectors Corner banner. Once an item sells, it will appear in the Orders link. All sales are transacted through PayPal.
A marketing campaign is underway to give exposure for the cards you have for sale and don’t forget that every card you list will also be linked directly into your fellow members’ sets when the card fills a hole or is an upgrade.
There is a User Guide linked from the Collectors Corner banner, but should you have any questions or feedback for us, please feel free to contact me directly.
Thank you!

Edited To Add: BJ has given in depth instructions in the post right above this, so I would refer to that. If you still have some questions, I have included the response below.
Once each card is added into the Inventory for Set Registry, go to the drop down menu next to Show and click on "My Active Inventory". Once there, scroll over to the Location section and proceed to change the status box from Active to CC Sales. *The default should automatically say "Active" so just click on that and scroll down to CC Sales.*
After you've done that, once again, scroll back up to the Show drop down menu and now select the "My Collectors Corner Inventory" section. The Collectors Corner banner should then appear and you will now have the ability to customize your listing on Collectors Corner.
Hopefully this helps.
<< <i>I did not read through anything, but is this selling option only for cards you have in the registry? >>
As of now, it is for any cards added into the Inventory for PSA Set Registry.
* It would be good to have the certification number automatically transfer to the buyer once the transaction is completed. That eliminates the need to manually delete the cert number from the seller's sets and avoids the buyer having to wait until the seller deletes it or has to scan and email images to PSA to get the item removed from the previous set. Maybe this is an advanced feature that will take time to implement.
* How will disputes be handled? E.g., card doesn't arrive, isn't what was advertised, etc.
A card will automatically be moved to your sold inventory once it is sold. Buyers are not necessarily Registry members so I'm not sure how viable it would be to attach the cert# to the buyer's contact information but it is something we'll look into.

For disputes you will either contact the seller directly or contact Collectors Corner customer service.

This is fairly brilliant- you can easily just reduce the price a penny, but I like the fact that you consciously have to redo pricing rather than set it and forget it.
I tested this a week ago, and while I've used the registry for a decade am certainly not tech savvy. Took me about 3 minutes to list an item, and the one mistake I made (because I was trying to do it too fast instead of paying attention) was remedied in seconds. Having it link directly to holes in someones registry should make things very efficient.

There is a rating system in place so as soon as a seller is identified as bad, the rating system will take care of him. It's true that the initial buyer may be faced with a problem, but we are hoping that those types of situations are minimal. Sellers do need a subscription to the PSA Collectors Club so if there is a problem there, he won't go any further.

<< <i>I find it interesting that there is over $100M in coins/currency for sale on Collectors Corner, $3M+ in stamps (which CLCT no longer even does business in), yet only $2.5M in cards and autographs. I hope the PSA business picks up there. Seems like a good deal. >>
We hope so too. This past weekend, we have received tremendous support from the PSA community. Our card dealer/seller count has now risen to a total of 20!
edited to add: /seller and a total of 20.

Cards for sale now at $2.97M, up 20% since this thread started!!
<< <i>I'm hoping there will be a little more to the seller screening process than just the ability to register and then finding some cards somewhere online to list. Experienced buyers take more caution when dealing with unknown sellers on Ebay, dealing off-Ebay, BST boards, Cragislist, etc., and may be more prone to letting their guard down on a CU/PSA sponsored site. Anywhere there's money changing hands there will be issues. Contacting the seller if there's a dispute or issue is fine as long as the seller's desire is to be contacted.

Would there be recourse if someone managed to pass off a fake 1952 Mantle PSA 8 for $80k...for example? Hopefully you retain enough contact information from sellers to pursue them in case of grand theft.

If it was up to me, I would send you a grading voucher for a few free submissions. Personally, a good way to market this is to send anyone who lists items on CC a free submission voucher and then another free voucher to anyone who sells/buys an item on CC.

Here is an answer to both of the questions above. As of now, Collectors Corner is just working with PSA Cards. Thus far, we have been receiving tremendous feedback from the community and we may possibly explore other avenues of collectibles in the future.

I have notified our IT department and they are currently looking into the matter. I will let you know as soon as I get more information.
<< <i>I wonder if they will do away with the BST in time. This seems safer from both a buyer/seller perspective and the company gets a little revenue for the effort >>
Lots of ungraded cards and things PSA doesn't grade, like magazines and uncut sheets, plus certain types of supplies, are sold on there. Ending the BST would mean losing all that traffic to other sites.
