So I'm just leaving the baseball card exchange and I have to share a story...this is my third time visiting and has always been so much fun...the great packs I buy to rip, getting a couple vintage boxes authenticated etc...just awesome...however, today: I brought in 3 boxes I won in the REA auction to have Steve validate and wrap if legit...not only did we both agree on the high quality and legitimitacy, but my series 2, 1972 football had a pack with a staubach rookie on back and one with a Bradshaw 2nd year on back...in which Steve was gracious enough to label as such, in turn increasing the value of my box...I had no idea until Steve showed me what I had...another magical visit to the BBCE!!!

    AWESOME!!! The box in itself is a prize, but to have a pair of star backed packs like that is just STELLAR!!!

    Congrats on a great score!
    52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.

    Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    That's awesome. I actually collect more football cards than baseball cards these days, so I can appreciate the excitement that you feel. Congratulations Belz.

    Nice...Is that Coach Stephen Mattingly calling me up? I'll hit after Puig no problem...sweet. Since he's on a 13 game hitting streak, I'm bound to get an RBI or two. Speaking of baseball, very excited to get my 4 mini's as I'm sure so many are...that was really such a great effort by the real starting line up on this board...Although I have bought some nice cards from board members, I'm clearly still in the minors.

    Back at it...ya, totally lucky on the packs Steve pointed out..but I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I felt/feel as I didn't even intend to win the box and was kind of buyers remorse bummed about it, as you might know, when you don't intend there becomes wife explanation etc. Although she's awesome.

    I bid on the 76 cello, and both 72 wax...all were low bids in my opinion but as you know I'm trying to do a run of each from Topps as long as I can go. I wasn't going to be able to go after the 59, 63 or 71 so I figured I'd save up and get one more that I needed (72 or 76). Woops. Got 3 boxes. I had a strong feeling they would be great packs since I knew the background and also knew since it wasn't bbce I might be able to get them for under current market value...well, I got them all right...just glad it worked out from a quality standpoint as the cello packs were tight with stars and the 72s under Steve analysis proved fantastic. I'll end up selling one of the 72s, as it messes up the plan to have both (don't take that as solicitation as I'm not prepared at this point).

    I'll share pictures soon for sure as I rearrange and build my run display.

    That's awesome! I think you got a very good deal on each of those boxes, and that's before "the find." Baseball has taken off recently, but I expect other sports to follow shortly. Congrats again.
    Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.
