Saved this one from the junk bin... Engraved Peace Dollar Pocket Piece

Was at a local shop the other day and had some time to kill so I decided to go through the shop's junk bins of silver to see if there were any coins decent enough to use as prizes for our coin club raffles. In the box of dollars (all of which were $22/each) I found a couple of decent AU dollars after going through hundreds of them. I also found this coin:

It's a very worn down 1935-S Peace Dollar with some engraving on the back. Based on the locations listed and the condition of the coin (very worn and slightly polished), I'm guessing it was someone's pocket piece made during or maybe after WWII. Not really sure though, I thought it was too cool to leave it in the junk bin

<< <i>Great rescue! I'll bet some WWII veteran carried that coin every day of his life thereafter, kind of sad that it ended up in a junk box rather than passed down to a relative. >>
I'll bet you're right! I'm glad it got saved.
