McLain was part of a charity event in Manchester, NH, in November. Had alot of fun chatting with him and got a beautiful auto on a 1970 Topps, which has since graded PSA 8 (the card). I posted a pic of it somewhere around here.

Last time he was here, back in December, I got to chat with him for about 5 minutes which was pretty cool. Got several pictures taken with him as well as a signed ball. This time I'm taking 3 items...a mini helmet, a 8x10 photo, and a 45 record of a song he played on the accordion.

That record will be a cool piece. He signing the sleeve or signing the actual record in silver pen?

I'm gonna have him sign the record itself. It's one that was a promotional one too. Only vinyl stores had it to play. It was never sold mass market.
  • What specific types of cards are typically at this show? Any high end stuff?
  • There's something for everyone. Some low end to high end. I think there will probably be quite a bit of vintage at this one as the Chicago Sun Times was last month. There will be some guys selling boxes and cases. Mostly all local guys. Our LCS will be there too to represent.

Of course my definition of high end might be different.
  • Beckett will be on site at the show this weekend as well. They will not be grading at the show but will be accepting submissions for a special show price.

Great. I'll look for you- hopefully I'll be able to make it. I saw you mention the Chicago show- do you attend? If so I'm sure I've met you there

  • Just out of curiosity, what will you have at your table?
  • I haven't been to the Chicago show.

I will have some vintage and modern. Auto'd and relics. Also quarter boxes.
