I'm assuming this will get minimal responses but a huge minor league Rockies prospect is playing in town now. He was the MVP of the Pioneer (Rookie) league batting .379 in 2012. He played here last year for 10 games but tore his hamstring and was out all year. So he's back now and looking pretty good at the plate. Anyway, I got a couple of autos from him but here is the coolest thing I aquired... A broken game used bat from a double header on Tuesday. I asked him for it after the game and he obliged. It's missing a little bit of the handle but most of it (barrel and knob) are intact. Most players at this low level (A-) don't have signature bats but he does. Just thought it was cool...

Sweet, I heard about his success but nothing lately. It's good to hear he is looking good at the plate. A very successful opportunity. I have been following many of the prospects this last year. I picked up a Montero MiLB game used jersey a few months ago myself.
