The expo center is very convenient to the airport, but unlike Nationals in Rosemont (Chicago) & Baltimore, there are no hotels, restaurants, and/or bars within walking distance of the show. You'll need to take a shuttle back & forth from the hotel to the show. Because of this, it's really difficult to meet up with other collectors, unless you happen to see them at the hotel's restaurant & bar.
Meeting up at a booth or at the vending area at a certain day/time is a good idea in theory, but rarely works out because there are just so many people so in order for it to work everyone would need to wear the SAME eye-catching or bright COLOR shirt or hat that stands out.

Sounds good Al. Looking forward to meeting you. Also, if anyone's plans change as I know things come up at the last minute, just let me know and I'll edit the list. Thanks!!

I'll be in Cleveland from Wed thru Sat, and at the show probably 2 or 3 of those days. As always, I'll be the 300 lbs Chinaman in the George Brett jersey or other Royals apparel. Always looking to buy any George Brett rookies, especially OPC's.
I can only attend Friday and Saturday. Will be at a downtown'ish hotel Friday night. Plan to hit the horseshoe for a few hours after a good steak dinner, crapps. Hope to meet up with some of you and drink some millers care of Mr. Burgundy.
Bruce, won't you be the guy leaning on a shovel? I'll post in this thread what I am wearing each day so guys can find me at the BBCE booth at 2:30pm or maybe for those looking for fashion advice.
Alan, I remember you posting in last year's thread, but I don't recall meeting up with you. I'll be on the lookout this year.

I did use a shovel earlier today, in my garden. I'm looking forward to this! I am a little nervous about carrying cash to the show. My wife said that I could go to the ATM and withdraw $$. When I said that I probably could only get 3 or 4 hundred dollars and that it wouldn't be enough her reply was "Just how much do you plan on spending?" I didn't reply.

I've used paypal when I can at the National so I don't have to carry so much cash on me. I also have Mark (cincyredlegs) around for security purposes.

Yea, I was there last year, but only got to spend a couple or so at the show. Turned out my company was hosting an event on one of the Wrigleyville Rooftops, and I ran into some good customers that I ended up spending the rest of my time in Chicago with. Anyways, I plan on spending more time at the show this year, some I'm sure we'll finally meet up.
It looks like I may not make it this year due to some unforeseen family festivities. I was most looking forward to coming and meeting up with many of you, but there is always next year!!!

Sorry to hear you might not be able to make it John. Hopefully, things fall back into place again, but like you said there is always next year.

I have some family commitments over the weekend that will prevent me from taking a booth, but I am pretty sure I will be there wed, Thursday and fri as an attendee.
<< <i>I will have a booth there and would love to meet more CU Board Members...I've had the pleasure to meet/know some members already.
I sell high grade (mainly PSA 10), high dollar rookies from the 70's and 80's...about 80% is football...will also have my Bird/Magic PSA 10 with me.
Looking forward to seeing you guys!

I think I'm in. I've been wanting to go and got approval from the wife to spend the cash, but I couldn't justify what it was gonna cost to get there as it would eat away ya spending money, kinda defeating the purpose. But then, my boss told me today that I had to be in Atlanta at end of July. So I asked if I could route back through Cleveland for a few days to attend a "networking event"...no problem. Sweet. Will look to book flights and hotel tomorrow and the local guy that sold me my Clemente RC and 52 Mays is there as a dealer and has offered to hook me up with a ticket. So, it looks like I'll be there Wednesday and Thursday at least and still deciding if I should depart Thursday night or Friday night.
Pretty excited about this development and looking forward to meeting you guys.

Some of us basketball collectors are getting together in downtown Cleveland for dinner one of the nights after the show ends. Nothing confirmed as of yet, but PM me if interested.
I will be there Friday and Saturday, including the PSA luncheon on Friday. Kevin
