Interesting Trade Dollar...

I've never seen one of these, at least not one like this. It looks to me like somebody filled in some chop marks, then smoothed over or re-engraved the dirty work. But it is so obvious, I can't understand why someone would submit it??? Notice the seller's location - I wonder if this coin went through the Asian PCGS...

<< <i>Wouldn't chop marks usually make dents on the reverse also? >>
The reverse also looks repaired.

There's no indication that the seller did the repair work. I would go so far as to say that I highly doubt he had any part in it. My question in turn would be, why on earth did he submit it for grading.
That is the most common of all Trade Dollars
I wouldn't buy a curl 2 dime that looked like that!

<< <i>I saw that and wondered, who would submit something like that? Now I am wondering, who would bid over $100 for that? >>
With so many fake trade dollars out there I would say it was submitted to gaurantee it was genuine.
