    I have about 6 of those Collecting Boxes. Always wondered how they were distributed.

    Very cool item! Though by the 1.99 price sticker, I can see why it would not be a very good seller, as you could buy 4 packs and get 100 cards for 1.56.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    I've never seen that item before either Scott. I need to get one of those now, LOL.

    It must have been a regional item and perhaps was only sold through certain outlets (department store as opposed to hobby shops).

    Collecting:
    Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

    The collecting box is easily worth 20 fewer cards and an extra $0.43

    In 1980 a full checklist like that would have been a nice little incentive as well.
    Not worth $.43, but nice to have.
