The original auction that this thread was started for is still up. There was a run of 1979-1986 football wax boxes listed last night. These were shrink wrapped, and had bbce stickers on the bottom.
The stickers looked weird, and Steve Hart verified that all of the boxes were counterfeit. These listing were removed by the seller.
Good work. Unfortunately my guess is it would not be hard to duplicate the current BBCE shrink wrap. Or are they using something in addition to that to mark their boxes?

I am not sure, that would be a question for Steve Hart. Unfortunately, anything can be copied if someone is determined enough. The new shrink wrap does help however....even if it detours 50% of the scammers, we are a lot better off.
