<< <i>Anyone here bought from them? Their raw inventory is the best I've ever seen. How do they have such an expensive raw inventory? And his pictures just bring out the best in every coin. >>

surprised they get such strong prices .. but you got to wonder they don't put the pricey coins in holders >>

Why send to PCGS when the raw coin will yield more in their "auction". The business model is to overgrade with the knowledge that most people either don't know better or simply won't return the coin. GSC is the reason that PCGS came into business, to protect against dealers that do this.

GSC gets the highest prices for raw coins than anyone else I've ever seen. Me, selling the same coin, would get half or less. Frankly their results are impossible. Can't prove it, but must be shill bidding of some sort. eBay must be issuing credits 2-3-4 times before some coins are really sold. They HAVE TO KNOW. >>

I strongly agree - I have not won anything bidding on their auctions and wonder where the "competing bids" are coming from........

Take a very close look at their sold listings and you will see the same coins over and over again. Some with different images but still the same coin plain as day.

I bought one beautiful "BU" Indian head cent that ended up being an AU.
They argued with me about it, but ended up doing the right thing by giving me a refund long after the time was up, which they did not have to do.
I will never again buy from them.

I have a friend who bought nearly a complete type set from them by just looking at his computer screen and hitting the buy button.

It's the photos. He wouldn't even be interested in the concept of a details holder.

There are a lot of these people out there. Absolutely no interest in buying "good for the grade" or great coins.

    Have a nice day

I've gotten a couple pieces of PCGS bullion gold. No problems.

I would not touch their raw stuff, and I am not that knowledgeable.

I asked for a close up of a D/D as you could not magnify the photo to see it. and NO response. Oh well.

Here's the thing about GSC. First, DO NOT go by their grading. The coins are very likely a couple of grades below what is listed due to minor problems. Second, some of the best cherry picks made on eBay come from their inventory. They have excellent eye appealing coins that for one reason or another are made reasonable price wise. There may be light cleaning or something, but YOU are supposed to be the one to know if it is enough to cause it not to grade.

I can vouch for GSC in that they will allow you to return ANYTHING you purchase with no questions asked (to my knowledge, unless in a slab). I've never heard a situation where the buyer could not get a refund if he didn't like their coin.

Anyway, there are some amazing coins in his inventory. Just assume the super nice coins were cracked out of minor problem holders, or PCGS AU58 holders that could MS61 or 62 at NGC. I've seen it a hundred times. The vast majority of their more common circ coins are normal coins that were purchased from dealers that sent a bulk deal to him.

  • What kind of cherrypicks have you guys made from him? He's on my crap list right now for trying to sell a fake and more recently a dateless coin as a key date. Change my mind.
