Anyone plan on submitting any of the cards? Is it worth it or better to leave em raw? I have an extra Trout from last year that I've thought about submitting, but not sure if that would really increase any value on it.

Being modern... If they will be 10's and they are stars, someone will pay a premium!
I will probably sub some from this year as well. Trout most definitely, for my collection... Thus i'd recommend you don't sub your 2013 Trout... I like that my 10 is a pop 1 still I kid of course!

No offense, but his $5 might just be a jab at your $275 BIN... Non-rookie numbered to 299... Your holding a $20-40 card... Just saying (and no, that wasn't my $5 offer)
I know there's no way I'll get $275, but you'd be surprised at the bites I have gotten in the past for things like this that I never thought would sell for what I listed it for. If someone shoots me a pretty reasonable offer I'll sell. So far it's the only Wacha on ebay.

Given that, I'm guessing the so far remaining no-shows will be in the 5-49 range... so production numbers should end around 7500 on the base autos. Considering I don't know why they would make #/10 parallels of the base auto's that are only numbered to 5... that's probably then 26 that have a #/10 parallel... so 260 more cards, and 34 1/1 auto's.
Which means, approximately 7800 boxes
Last year, there were approximately 5200 boxes
So that would be a 50% increase in the production over last year!

They do this every year with pretty much every issue. I imagine that half of them end up selling for a discounted price down the road.
I just ripped my order of (40) boxes -- pretty fun rip.
I can't say I am thrilled with collation, as I only was able to build one full set -- though close on a second. I think I only got one copy of three different cards, while getting as many as nine on another.
The autos were about the same with many multiples (see below). At least a couple of them were lower print runs (incl Wacha). No big names was a big disappointment, however.
Two Printing plates: Strasburg and Evan Gattis
Got 6 nice Xander Bogaerts RCs
Was surprised by how many chipped corners and edges were in these packs -- lots of 8-ish cards, but the set I built was quite clean.
Ripped forty as well....not impressed with the collation either. I did get one green auto #ed to 10, but only 1 plate. Anyways hope to do some trading to fill in a 2nd set, some Rangers, and help some guys I trade with on their team stuff.
Here is what I could use: 9, 15, 24, 25(2), 30, 31, 35(2), 36, 37, 38, 42, 47, 49, 63, 70, 78, 80(2), 85, 90(2), 91, 93, 98, 99, and 100
I have these to swap for them: 3(2), 4, 6(3), 8(2), 10(2), 11(2), 13, 14(3), 16, 18, 19, 22(2), 23(3), 27(3), 28, 29(4), 32(2), 33(4), 34, 39, 40(4), 41(5), 43, 44, 45(2), 46, 48, 50, 51(3), 53, 55(2), 57, 59(4), 61(2), 64(2), 65(2), 68(2), 71(4), 74(2), 79(3), 81, 82(5), 84, 86, 87(2), 88(3), 89(2), 92, 94(2), 95, 96, and 97(2)
I'll post scans tomorrow as well as this stuff on ebay. If you're interested in a particular player/auto/team whatever I will trade for other stuff on my wantlist, but I'd like to finish what I want with what I have to swap.
400 cards yielded one 100 card set. I was thinking may I should have bought 10 boxes are tried for a set, I would have been extremely disappointed.
That is very frustrating. And so many of the same Autos. Topps must have a method to their madness, but I'm sure taking the collector into consideration is at the bottom of the list.
Looks like a good amount of us got our packages yesterday. I did my rip as well last night. Not thrilled with the auto's I got. Was really hoping for a Wacha a bigger name. No printing plates either.
This is what I did pull: Davidson, Bettis (x4), Garcia (x4), Magill, Gausman (x2), Rienzo (#2/10), Owings (x4), Marisnick (x2), Jordan, Schoop, Almonte, Odorizzi, Eovaldi.
I'm hoping the #/99 guys can get me back a fair amount. Wondering if next year it's just easier to buy a set after the hype dies down. I enjoy the rip, but not sure if it's worth it.
Went through and am missing 8 cards for one set and around 30 for another.
Well, Alex Wood auto finally hit eBay... Numbered to 35. Without the 6 vets yet to show... That puts the base auto print run at 7544. Figure the vets are all numbered to 5... That's 7574. Add in the 34 one-of-ones and the 26 non-vet green parallels numbered to 10...
Eovaldi auto 10/10 any idea what I should do on ebay with it .... BIN with best offer or run it as a normal auction looking for some ideas to help me get the most out of it lmk thanks
Is he a particularly hot prospect? If so, you could consider an auction. I am fairly risk averse, so as a seller I generally BIN with BO all the cards I have for sale. With an auction you need to know that you will have people bidding against each other in order to get the price you want. Someone on the boards here was pretty successful using BIN/BO to sell off his Wacha Auto from this set. If it means anything to you, I generally buy from auctions and sell using fixed price. I think the ceiling is slightly higher with auctions but the floor is so much lower than a fixed priced auction where you control the minimum price that you sell the card for. For that reason I greatly prefer the BIN/BO method so that is my vote. Good luck with your sale. Whatever you do, do it quick as I think the best time to generally sell autos is right when any set is released (of course if this guy goes Yasiel Puig or Mike Trout than it would be better to wait until the season starts, but the odds are slim on that so with prospects I say take your profits now). If you do BIN/BO and can't get any nibbles you can always switch to auction listing.

In 2013, the total count of base autographs was 5269 across 43 different players.
In 2014, 12 of the 34 (or 38) have shown up on eBay already with a total base auto count of 5525.
I'm thinking 2014 is going to end up being about a double printing compared to 2013.
anyone using the auto numbers to work towards a production total yet?
