1955 Topps Clemente RC PSA 8.5

Glad to see it was taken down. Hopefully due to one of you vigilantes contacting eBay.

Could you get any more frosting?

Good lord that is the worst hack job ever. That case looks like it's been stored in the garbage disposal .

Seller should be banned but that would be bad for eBay business

Card was/is under the bar inside the holder..LOL..terrible try
  • There is always a chance the seller bought the card that way and is reselling it, not knowing it was tampered with. He hasn't sold anything card related recently. So there is always the chance he doesn't know much about it. And if you were going to try and sell a tampered with holder, why would you show close ups of the holder? Now he could be a scammer...but there is always a chance he was the one scammed at some point.

    1. Eat it straight out of the bowl/can/tube.

    2. Make graham cracker or saltine cracker sandwiches. The kids love this.

    3. Feed it to the kids right before they go to Grandma's for a few hours. Call it sweet revenge.

    4. Line PSA Roberto Clemente cards!

    5. Melt it in the microwave for a few seconds and drizzle over ice cream.

Yeah right...Plus according to his description dear old dad bought this gem for him:

A gem from the massive collection my father bought me as a child.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

  • it might go without saying, but the cards themselves are in terrible shape as well. Especially that Clemente. But if the Mantle is legit, get a real grade on it. Would easily get a few grand. I don't get people's logic.

Plus, to the best of my knowledge, PSA never had holograms on the reverse of their flips after going to the half point grading scale.

<< <i>And if you were going to try and sell a tampered with holder, why would you waste precious time, description space and finger energy trying to explain away a multi-k card that looks like it's been run over by a Mack truck, when all you have to do is make the obligatory reference to daddy and be done with it? Ain't NOBODY got time fo dat. >>

Yes, the Mantle pictured is much closer to a PSA 7 than the Clemente to a PSA 8.5. That Clemente looks like a PSA 5 with the corner wear and centering.
