    Great question as I've never seen that either. Be interested to hear everyone's thoughts on it.

    Collecting:
    Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

    They look to be proofs or pre-production prints of some kind. At least you don't have to worry about them being cut up.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    some may have been already. i recall seeing a single example of this card with the same incomplete back being sold on eBay within the past several weeks.

    I should have elaborated and said cut up for TPG. Unfortunate that anyone would buy a card like that raw.

    I'm not familiar with this issue. I know there are blackless 82 Topps cards, are there any legitimate 82s that have this kind of back? I also have a few 82 Topps "blank backs," but those have no color or anything on back.

    That seller has also sold resealed wax in the past, IIRC..

    Good stuff.

    Makes you wonder about Topps Vault -- either their stuff is not from "the vault" or perhaps these did go out the back door a la upper deck... either way, not good. The notion that somebody had to tell Topps that they were not Topps boggles the mind, or makes one very dubious.
