Hello all - long time lurker and vintage card collector here, but after reading the vintage vs. modern card thread it got me courious about modern sets and I was prompted to check out some modern cards. There was so much material I was soon overwhelmed, bu I thought it would make a good topic for debate of what are the best sets from the last 15 years. I am a set collector so I wanted to see what you guys think of the sets rather than focusing on individual cards from the last 15 years.
I love reading these types of threads and have intentionally left the definition of the term "best" ambiguous to see how everyone determines what qualities make a set the best.

+3. I have all the base sets and now am going back and adding the SPs and inserts. While I have all the basic Topps sets, Heritage are the only ones that I ever pull off my shelf to look at, to be honest.

<< <i>2012 Topps Mini. There was considerable buzz on this board for the first few months after it was issued and it has completely dried up. It is the only modern set I collect. >>

2012 Topps Mini is the only modern set I collect also. A strong lineup of short printed autograph cards said to be 50 or less of each one. It makes it really tough to put a complete master set together! Also trying to put a mint set of the gold cards together (#'d /61) is even tougher!
