Is this an ugly PSA 7 '58 Mantle?

To me it looks more like a "5". It's on eBay now ... if it belongs to a member here please PM me and I will delete the thread.

Opinions?

Edited to add: I just looked at my post. Condition of card may be harder to see in this pic than on eBay.

Ugly 7! The white background means I can't check out the case to see if it has been compromised.

Corners are real soft ... red print mark by "a" in Mantle, centering is ugly (I know it's within "7" standards). Overall an UGLY looking "7".

I understand what you are saying Phil, but I could submit this one TEN TIMES and there is NO WAY I'd get a '7".

My 3.5 looked better than that!....seriously.....if you crack and resub, I am thinking 4. Ask to see the card against a black background.

    Doug.....

That upper left is very soft. You could submit that 100 times and you would get the following grades:

    PSA 4 10 times
    PSA 4.5 10 times
    PSA 5 75 times
    PSA 6 5 times

The exception always receives the most attention, but PSA does offer a buy back option in those instances.

for the sake of comparison, a not-so-ugly '58 Mick PSA 7.....got a good deal on this card in the raw last year and a solid, as expected grade. haven't had the guts to sell it yet. image
