Interested in a payday loan.....from the USPS?

White Paper.

"""In a white paper distributed late last month, the Postal Service's inspector general discussed getting into an array of financial services as a means of keeping the money-losing mail operation afloat. Payday loans, check cashing and digital currency exchanges were among the possibilities outlined in the Jan. 27 report."""

Really convenient, NOT. My nearest PO is 5 miles away. I have two banks withing 300 feet from my home.

Can't remember the last time I was actually in a Post Office. Thank God, as the line was 50 people deep as
    I do recall.

Went to three different post offices early this week. None had more than 3 people in line. They are not nearly as busy as they used to be.

They continue to seek these schemes to achieve profitability instead of actually running the operation as a business.....oooops, there are no business people in their hierarchy....much like the government. This is a failing operation mainly because it is top heavy, inefficient and run by individuals with no understanding of operations. An archaic system fighting it's own extinction. Cheers, RickO

I recall when the USPS was selling "collectible" pre-paid phone cards. That did not turn out well.

They refuse to stock Priority Mail boxes except for the more pricey Flat Rate boxes. I end up ordering non Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes on-line in quantity for my business. Postmasters uniformly cite a lack of space but alway have room for the trinkets and trash they try to sell in the lobby.

Fedex and UPS should take over mail delivery.

Regular mail delivery should be cut to 3 days a week. Packages 6 days.

If it needs to get there, pay for the package.
