Tanaka decides to become a Yankee

Japanese phenom Masahiro Tanaka reportedly has accepted a seven-year, $155 million offer from the Yankees, the fifth-most lucrative deal for a pitcher.

I wonder which Rookie card will turn out to be the best?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    I'm going to take a wild guess and say that he becomes a reliable pitcher for the first 3-4 seasons.
    I'm still convinced Darvish will be the best we see come out of Japan as far as pitchers are concerned.

    great deal for Tanaka, he couldn't have asked for any better.

    They need him. That pitching staff has started to get a bit sketchy. Pettitte and Rivera are retired, Sabathia hasn't been the same guy, Kuroda is getting pretty old, Nova is wildly inconsistent, Pineda is a giant question mark, etc.

    That would sound quite ridiculous in a 4 game series, but i'm thinking Tanaka will be a max 3-4 year impact player.
