Found some old 99-00 Beckett Monthly guides

To add to yesterdays thread about the 99-00 prices, such as the 86 Fleer Update Bonds that Esquire paid $4100 for in May 2000. I found a stash of old becketts. the july 2000 issue with my man Barry Bonds on the cover showed book price of $50 for a PSA 9 Barry Bonds 86 Fleer Update. No listing for a PSA 10 due to low pop numbers I believe. 87 Fleer at the time $100 in PSA 9, PSA 10 $2500($500 more than the Glossy). This jives pretty well with my sales later in 2000 because I racked up pretty good, and needed to.

There was certainly more variety when it came to high priced moderns during that era.
did you happen to find any 2001-2002 becketts showing pujols Ichiro prices?

I recall Bowman's Best PSA 10 Andruw Jones going for about $2000 and Vlad going for $2500. I believe a McGwire 1985 Topps PSA 9 was around $500 and the 10 was in the stratosphere. Crazy times.

No, last Beckett I bought until 2009 was the Oct 2000 issue

Got a March 2000 Football Beckett in the pile :

84 Gem Elway $2500
84 Gem Marino $2000
89 Score Barry Sanders Gem $1200
81 Montana Gem $3000
89 Score Deion Sanders Gem $150 (mentioning because I bought a BGS 9.5 last year for $30)


Kerry Wood 97 Bowman Chrome RC was booking for $60 in late 98/early 99 just to add that in also. Forgot how on fire he was.

McGwire was out the roof 85 Topps Gem $7000. Heck a 9 was $500. His 87 Donruss in Gem was $450. Sosa 90 Leaf Gem...drumroll.....$1000. Big Frank was $400 . Right , crazy times.
Also in my August 2k Beckett it lists 86 Fleer Update Gem 10 Barry Bonds as selling for $5500 online in addition to another sale of $6544...
