Coach Hoodie has jumped the shark with this comment:
Bill says Wes did it on purpose
With all due respect to Pats fans, I will be interested to see what happens when Brady retires.

Opinions differ
No beef with you.
However, to say that Welker did that on purpose is wrong.
Just stating my opinion and letting others have access to the article. You are free to disagree.

This is the part of the statement that I disagree with.
Again, with respect to Pats fans, this part the story struck me as the words of a sore loser. And it is far from classy, IMHO.
Im being the sore loser so again I apoligize to you.
Was it pass interference? Absolutely.
Was it dirty? I think so.
Was the intent to injure? I don't think so but going low like that definitely makes it LOOK like that was his intent.
I changed the title of the thread. That may have been too harsh on my part.
<< <i>I wouldn't say that Welker was intentionally trying to injure him, but that wasn't a clean play, and led directly to New England's best pass defender missing the rest of the game and the passing game from Denver taking off immediately after. >>
Agreed
It is probably bad form for Belichick to come out like that yesterday, but look at it from his perspective. His best corner is injured for the 2nd straight season in the AFC title game, and his defense is shredded after he leaves, leading to two losses in games they were winning or had a chance to win. I'm not saying the Pats would have won if Talib played the whole game, but it would have been a ball game.
He knows how hard it is to make a Super Bowl. Having a chance slip though your fingers because of an in-game injury incurred on a borderline play would be frustrating for anybody. A lot of coaches would have handled it far worse.
