I'm headed to the Tucson Coin show tomorrow where it will be about 80 degrees so those of you in the cold weather states may want to take a little break and join us in Tucson! It opens at 10am both days, and there will be about 80 tables from around the country. The Tucson Convention Center is very easy to get to and is located right off the 10 freeway on Church Street.

There are wineries in the Sonoita/Elgin area, about one hour southeast of Tucson. But the quality of the wines isn't that great.

However, just for you, I'll be having a very tasty Callaway Special Selection Cab this afternoon!

I made the six hour drive from San Diego yesterday.
Omni is my preferred brand and this location was fun.
I don't golf but the view of the course from the room is worth the golf cart noise below.
I cruised the floor today for around 90 minutes.
Collector traffic seemed steady and in-line with this small show.
Apart from Charmy's inventory, there was not much that interested me;
This may be due in part to not having a plan or waking up this morning with a migraine.
I did end up buying some XF-AU Walkers and G+ Barbers at a great price.
A short walk to El Minuto for lunch.
This place never disappoints and I'll probably eat there again tomorrow.
It was a short drive back to the hotel pool as it was nearly 80 F here today.
I didn't wait 30 minutes after eating before swimming. I'm rogue that way.
A few sculpins in my room to facilitate this report, then it's off to the steak house downstairs.
I'll go back to the show tomorrow morning with fresh eyes.
Add me to that list.
The front row table with the vintage silver bars peaked my interest, but nothing was for sale...so
I looked at a silver art bar on the back table that a dealer had in with other stuff in a Ziploc bag.
Under a loupe it said 1/000 silver 1/copper, dealer said he probably paid silver price for it in a lot... make an offer.
I said $5?
Dealer said how about $10?
Nope, I'll pass.
After awhile searching Google over lunch
I finally found a couple on Alibaba for $1/$0.50
Second walk around the show looking at some 5 digit gold pieces I came to that dealers table and he asked if I was here for the silver bar.
I showed him the Google Alibaba results and said I'll have to pass now that I know what it was.
Do you realize that you pulled up a thread from 2014.
