Be amoung the first to get one of these 3,500,000 first strikes:

Email from Austin Rare Coins:

Pre-Order 2014 Silver Eagles Now for Best Savings!

Sometime within the next two weeks we will be taking delivery of our first shipment of brand new 2014 American Eagle Silver Dollars.

These initial shipments fall under the "First Strike" classification, which means they were struck using freshly carved dies and are among the first coins issued in the new year. This always results in coins produced with razor-sharp detail and amazing eye-appeal.

How "first" and "3,500,000" can be used in the same sentence like that makes no sense to me. I guess that is why I don't collect plastic.

    Ha Ha Ha hA hA!

Google it ,search it, or scream at the top of your kidneys. This is a often visited topic. It will not be the last.

  • I would not want to see that term on anything but a slabbed bowling commemorative and then only just.

At 100,000 coins per die pair, that's 35 die pairs right there. If they were the first couple thou off of each die pair, that might be something. Then again, it behooves buyers to know just what exactly FS means.

I'd be willing to pay more for a label that certified the "Last Coin Struck."

    to better explain my post.

    1. they are talking about the first eagles that will be released by the mint as raw coins not slabbed first strikes.

    2. In an article posted yesterday on coin update they stated that the mint has approximately 3.5 million coins ready for the initial release.

    3. The so called coins under the " First Strike Classification" according to Austin Rare Coins would be any of the 3,500,000 already produced.

Just Bull $hit to make you think you are getting the first ones produced an will be better than the millions to be released later.

Basically the same as a First Strike Slab.image

Reminds me me of the BS marketing of the first Princess Diana Beanie Babies.

Ty originally said " For the first month there will only be 12 Princess Dianna Beanies per store "

No one thought beyond the first month after which 12 million per month would be produced.

God bless Ty Warner and Beanie Babies. It was the most wonderful time of my life. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

One big question. Years from now when investors have amassed billions and billions and more billions of silver eagles

and decide its time to sell, who will they be able to sell all of them to?
